What determines the assignment of the USPS Delivery Confirmation Tracking Numbers? Several of the tracking numbers being printed on my labels today show history in USPS.com as being delivered last year. Are tracking numbers reused/recycled that frequently? When USPS receives notification of the tracking number today will the USPS site so tracking for the package being shipped today as opposed to the package delivered last year?
